The Vines:
Jakob’s Vineyards has two hectares under vine; one hectare planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, half a hectare to Merlot and half a hectare to Cabernet Franc. And since production is so limited, the family decided to, with the exception of 2006 when a single cultivar Cabernet Sauvignon was produced, only make one flagship Bordeaux-style red blend from these three blending components.
